Dr. Dzelzkalns is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in surgical and general eye care for patients of all ages. He performs cataract and glaucoma procedures as well as laser treatments for patients with diabetic complications. After completing his medical residency in 1987 at the University of Illinois, Chicago, Dr. Dzelzkalns began his practice at the Medical Clinic of Sacramento, California. In 1990 he relocated to Miami and joined MedEye Associates in 1998. He is a member of the Miami Ophthalmological Society, the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American College of Surgeons.
